you got more than money and sense, my friend
you got heart and you go in your own way
TIME TO UNVEIL. Welcome to NAUTICA, whee.
This is a city based on the idea of Atlantis, refounded and repurposed.
It’s a port city founded around fishing, technology, and of course, water. There’s ships, submarines, ect. It’s really neat! Think of it as a HUGE meltingpot, people coming and going, trading and making friends, it’s pretty cray. There’s Uptown, which is more of a tourist attraction than a city. It’s government centered, kind of lame. The Fishing District is of course, the big port area. Ships everywhere, Fisherman on fisherman’s row, marketplaces, shops, a lot of stuff.
Nautica is technically four miles below, reached only by a huge staircase built by the original settlers ( “the atlantians”, you could call them ) and five REALLY big elevators. The staircase is really mostly for newcomers and teens. The newcomers generally go down it once for the experience, and teenagers travel up it for the satisfaction and respect. A four mile walk up some stairs? Yeah. ELEVATORS PLS.
It’s a huge clustered city, much in the likeness of Rio, only cleaner, a bit less clustered, and full of WATERWAYS. Waterways are mostly unused aside from people swimming and the occasional boat and the insanely large wildlife that live there. Giant turtles and fish, fuck yeah.
There’s a huge really neat force field keeping the water out of the city, which is constantly on, duh. It provides a lot of light, but there are also these energy balls they made to light up the dark corners. They come in different colors depending on the holiday, but actually, usually, they’re just white. They feed off of CO2 and float around through the city and fade off in the night. Then more are made from the Science tower. HaHA.
Uh, can’t really think of anything else. wHOPS
